Publix Super Markets Charities

The Georgia Tennis Foundation honors its first “Partner in Tennis”, Publix Super Markets Charities! Publix Super Markets Charities joined the Georgia Tennis Foundation as its first partner in tennis in 2003. This partnership gave birth to YMCA Tennis Georgia. As founding sponsor of YMCA Tennis Georgia, Publix Super Markets Charities has been instrumental to the phenomenal growth of this program.

The Georgia Tennis Foundation credits tennis visionary Brenda Reid of Publix Super Markets Charities for YMCA Tennis Georgia’s grand success. In just four years, YMCA Tennis Georgia has grown from a summer program serving 1 YMCA to a year-round program serving 23 YMCAs and introducing 16,000 children to the game of tennis.

The Georgia Tennis Foundation salutes Publix Super Markets Charities as Georgia Tennis Foundation’s first “Partner in Tennis” Founding Sponsor of YMCA Tennis Georgia Presenting sponsor of the 2006 Georgia Tennis Hall of Fame Weekend of Celebration.




Life University

Thanks to the incredible generosity of Life University, professional wheelchair tennis has returned to Atlanta and is fast becoming an outstanding tennis tradition. Serving as presenting sponsor since its beginning, Life University has led the way for other corporate sponsors to get involved and support professional wheelchair tennis.

The Georgia Tennis Foundation wishes to thank Dr. Guy Riekeman, President and CEO of Life University for his tireless leadership. Life University’s dedicated commitment to wheelchair tennis has been instrumental to the success of the Life University Wheelchair Tennis Masters Series each year. Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to Dr. Riekeman and Life University; Georgia Tennis Foundation Partner in Tennis.


Ansley Golf Club

It is with deep appreciation that the Georgia Tennis Foundation recognizes the Ansley Tennis Pro-Am for its overwhelming generosity and support of Wheelchair tennis. In its thirteenth year, the Ansley Tennis Pro-Am grew out an idea of Ansley Tennis Pro and Tennis Director; Ronnie Hass. In memory of his mom who died of breast cancer, Ronnie’s vision was to create a top-notch tennis pro-am while at the same time raising money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation. With Ronnie’s dedicated commitment and the volunteerism of the Ansley Golf Club members, the tournament has provided the Georgia Tennis Foundation with over $30,000 on behalf of wheelchair tennis.


First Horizon Financial

The Georgia Tennis Foundation welcomes its new Partner in Tennis, First Horizon Financial. As one of the nation’s top 30 bank holding companies in asset size and market capitalization, First Horizon expanded to Georgia in 2005. Eager to get involved in the community, First Horizon has joined the Georgia Tennis Georgia Tennis Foundation as a Partner in Tennis to support all aspects of Georgia tennis from juniors to wheelchair tennis.

The Georgia Tennis Foundation welcomes Porsche Cars International North America, Inc, as a new Partner in Tennis and presenting sponsor of “Wheel with the Stars” hosted by Grand Slam Finalist Todd Martin. (PCNA), based in Atlanta, GA, and its subsidiary, Porsche Cars Canada, Ltd., are the exclusive importers of Porsche sports cars and Cayenne sport utility vehicles for the United States and Canada.

The Georgia Tennis Foundation salutes Dr. Wolfgang Lindheim and Porsche Cars North America, Inc. for its recognition of the importance of supporting the initiatives that benefit people with disabilities and its generous support on behalf of wheelchair tennis.


AWTMS – Atlanta Wheelchair Tennis Masters Series

The world's elite wheelchair tennis players will once again gather in Atlanta for the premier Masters event on US soil, the 2007 Wheelchair Tennis Masters, presented by Porsche. Played at one of the Southeast's premier tennis facilities, Olde Towne Athletic Club Marietta, the event will be sure to attract the sports strongest field, all battling for the richest purse in professional wheelchair tennis.

All proceeds raised from this event will go toward continuing the development of Georgia Tennis Foundation wheelchair programs, and providing wheelchair tennis opportunities and programs for players of all ages and abilities and to distinguish Atlanta as the hub for wheelchair tennis in America.
